Adult Summer Workshop

Watercolor workshop:
Sunday, July 28. 9 AM to 1 PM
Location: Clubhouse Carol Ganick, instructor

This watercolor workshop will focus on the landscape, landscape elements and seascapes allowing experienced painters to bring up to three paintings that they have created in the past for review. Depending upon the number of students present, approximately half of the time will be a group review and discussion of each individual’s work. This process will assist in identifying strengths and weaknesses within each of the paintings. We will determine whether certain revisions will improve the work or if planning and executing a new painting is a preferred approach.
Focus will be on composition, value and color. Following the discussion, students will have time to make revisions or create a new painting.
Students are encouraged to bring source material, such as photos, sketches or value studies that may have been used in preparing any of the paintings.
If sufficient interest exists a second workshop may be scheduled later in the summer. Proposed date August 11.
