CT+6 Regional Juried Art Exhibit

UNACCEPTED work may be picked up Wednesday from 10 -12 noon, or Saturday, April 13, from 11-12 noon. Work not picked up on the alloted days will be placed in the back hallway. We are NOT responsible for loss or damage to work not picked up by Saturday, April 13th.

Please note: We do not have staff or volunteers available to help with pick up other Wednesday, the 10th or Saturday. the 13th. thank you.

Accepted work must be delivered to the Art League by April 17th, at noon, at the latest. Earlier drop-offs are encouraged.

Office hours for drop-off of accepted digital work are Monday - Friday 9-1 p.m or Saturday, April 13, from 11-12 noon.

2019 CT+6 EXHIBIT

Exhibit dates: April 28 - June 9, 2019

A regional juried competition open to artists from CT + MA, ME, NH, NY, RI, VT.
Juror: Bob Burns, Director, Mattatuck Museum, Waterbury, CT.

Artists who have work accepted into three CT+6 exhibits, juried by three separate jurors, are eligible to become an Elected Artist. Artists must be a current member of the West Hartford Art League to be an Elected Artist. Please see our current roster here.

Awards:

Best of Show: $1,000 cash prize plus an opportunity for a one person exhibit. Donated by the Paul Zimmerman Fund.
Second Place: $700 Cash award
Third place: $450 Merchandise certificate; Cheap Joes Art Supplies
Additional awards:
$200 Merchandise certificate: Jerrys West Hartford.|
$150 Merchandise certificate, Jack Richeson and Co.
$125 Merchandise certificate, Jack Richeson & Co.
$100 Merchandise certificate, Jack Richeson & Co.
Artists Oil Color Gift Set donated by Gamblin Artist Colors, valued at $95
$100 Cash award donated by the Barbara Morley Family for an oil painting entry.

The deadline to enter work has passed. We are no longer accepting online entries.

ARTS DAY:

Saturday, June 22 on our grounds. 11 - 5 p.m. All work must be original fine art or hand-made craft created by the exhibiting artist. Open to all artists. $30 registration fee.

The West Hartford Art League is celebrating its 85th Anniversary this year with a juried exhibit that will showcase art that captures the diversity of our town, from its culture, community, families, industry, landscape, architecture, history, and politics.

This exhibit is open to artists in all mediums including painting, collage, photography and sculpture based art that captures the beauty and diversity of West Hartford.
