Members Juried Exhibition 2026 - Entries open June 12th

September 12th - October 4th, 2026 | Clubhouse and Saltbox Galleries

Juror: Tanya Pohrt | Curator | Lyman Allyn Art Museum

Tanya Pohrt has worked at the Lyman Allyn Art Museum since 2015, curating exhibitions such as China from China: Porcelain and Stories of Early American Trade, Barkley L. Hendricks in New London, and The Way Sisters: Miniaturists of the Early Republic. Holding a Ph.D. in American Art History from the University of Delaware (2013), Pohrt was previously a Marcia Brady Tucker Fellow in American Paintings and Sculpture at the Yale University Art Gallery.

Deadline for Entries: August 5th at NOON

Notification of Acceptance:  August 14, 2026 by end of day

Accepted work drop-off:  Tuesday, September 1st & Wednesday September 2nd, 10 am - 12 pm, 6-7 pm

A - M drop off at Clubhouse, N - Z drop off at Saltbox

Opening reception: Saturday, September 12th, 2 - 4 pm

Art Pick Up: Sunday October 4th, 4-5 pm or Monday October 5, 10 am - 12 pm.

Awards:

Best of Show: $500 cash prize donated the West Hartford Art League Board of Directors.

The Nancy Fritsche Award for an Acrylic painting: $100

The Barbara Morley Award for an Oil painting: $100

The Peter Ganick Award for an Abstract work in any medium: $100

$75 cash awards will also be awarded in the following categories:

-Watercolor

-Drawing

-Three dimensional work in clay, ceramic or wood

-Collage

-Fiber

-Pastel

-Photography

-Mixed Media
