This exhibit is open to all artists who juxtapose materials such as paper, paint, photography, magazines, text, and other found objects, to a piece of paper, canvas, or other
backing, to create a new work of art.

Juror: Jeffrey Richmond-Moll | The George Putnam Curator of American Art | Peabody Essex Museum

Jeffrey Richmond-Moll is the George Putnam Curator of American Art at the Peabody Essex Museum. He is co-curator of the nationally-touring exhibition Edmonia Lewis: Said in Stone, and has organized exhibitions on a wide range of subjects, from American modernism and magic realism, to southern photography and Asian American art. His writing has appeared in numerous journals and exhibition catalogues, including Winterthur PortfolioArchives of American Art Journal, and Panorama: Journal of the Association of Historians of American Art. Richmond-Moll received his Ph.D. and M.A. in art history from the University of Delaware and a B.A. in art and archaeology from Princeton University. He is a former chair of the Association of Historians of American Art.

Notification of Acceptance:  Friday, April 3, 2026 by end of day

Accepted work drop-off:  Thursday, April 9 and Friday, April 10, 10 am - 12 pm, and 6 - 7 pm

Opening reception: Sunday, April 19th, 2 - 4 pm

Art Pick Up: Sunday May 31, 4-5 pm or Monday June 1, 10 am - 12 pm.

This exhibit is open to all artists residing in CT, New York and New England.

Work must have been created during the last 2 calendar years and not previously exhibited in a WHAL juried show. Work must be suitably framed and wired for hanging.  Wrapped canvases are acceptable. Framed dimensions may not exceed 48 inches on longest side.  Work on paper must be under glass or Plexiglas. Sculptures may not weigh more than 50 lbs.
