The West Hartford Art League has been educating and inspiring artists of all ages and abilities since 1934, when our organization was founded.
We have continued to grow and now maintain three historic buildings where artists can showcase their work in our galleries and learn in our classrooms, where children can participate in our youth classes and camp, and where the community and patrons can take part in community events.

We are extremely proud of all that we’ve accomplished this year. and we thank you for your support. Monthly art exhibits in our two galleries, our Fall Fine Art Festival, summer art camp, and our partnership with the town of West Hartford to commission artists to paint the “ARTBarriers” outside local restaurants, are one of the many other ways we use art to reach more people.

the Peter Ganick Memorial Fund.

Peter Ganick, a long time member and volunteer at the Art League,  passed away April 16th following an extended illness. His wife of 38 years, Carol Ganick, has established a memorial fund in his name.

The Margaret Doherty Memorial Fund

Margaret Doherty passed away recently in April of 2021 at the age of 97. Margaret was a long time member and supporter of the West Hartford Art League, and exhibited in many shows We are accepting donations in her name by mail or online.
