Juror: Shauna Shane Selected in 2010 as Resident Artist at the New Britain Museum of American Art, Shane began her career as Resident Artist at Yellowstone National Park. Shauna has exhibited in international competitions around the country, including Oil Painters of America, Allied Artists of America, Salmagundi, and Knickerbocker Exhibits in New York City. Shauna has exhibited and received major awards in the last 7 years of Renaissance Pastel International Exhibits, and recent awards were received in the 2012 and 2013 Hudson Valley Artists Exhibit as well as the Interior and Figure in Landscape exhibits at Lyme Art Association.Juried Paint Outs include Brandywine PA, Oct. 2013, St. Petersburg, FL in 2010, and Bradenton, FL in 2012.A professional painter for more than 33 years, Shane is represented in collections in the US and around the world, including the Governor’s portrait in the State Capitol in Helena, Montana. She is a Signature Member of CT Pastel Society, an Elected Artist Member of the Lyme Art Association and CT Plein air Society.

Juror: Jerry Weiss. Jerry Weiss studied drawing with Roberto Martinez in Miami, Florida, and drawing and painting with Harvey Dinnerstein, Robert Beverly Hale, Mary Beth McKenzie, Ted Seth Jacobs and Jack Faragasso at The Art Students League and the National Academy in New York City.
He has had numerous one-man exhibitions in museums and galleries, and his paintings are represented in public, private and corporate collections. Jerry teaches figure drawing and painting year-round at the Art Students League of New York, as well as intensive workshops there and in other venues around the country. He was an instructor at the Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts for fifteen years. Weiss is a Contributing Editor for The Artist’s Magazine,for which he writes features, and the ‘Master Class’ column.

Exhibit Dates: January 10 - 27, 2019
Juror: Frank Noelker. Frank Noelker is an American Fine Art Photographer. Currently an associate professor of art at the University of Connecticut, he received a B.A. degree from Webster University and an M.F.A. degree from the Rhode Island School of Design. His photographs have been widely exhibited, both in solo and group exhibits, and are included in the permanent collections of a number of museums. Noelker is represented by Howard Yezerski Gallery, Boston, MA and Galerie St. Etienne, New York, NY. His work has recently been published in the book, Captive Beauty: Photographs by Frank Noelker.

2018 Small works exhibit
October 11 - November 4, 2018
Opening reception: October 11, 2018 from 6:30-8:30 pm
The exhibit is open to all artists in all mediums.
Maximum size (including frame) 11 x 14. Work may be entered in all mediums including pottery and three dimensional work that adheres to the 11 x 14 size framework. All work must be suitably framed and wired for hanging. Up to two works of art can be entered.
Entry fee: $10 per piece. All work must be for sale.
Sales: The Art League will take a 30% commission on all work sold.
Receiving: Thursday, October 4, 6-8 p.m., and Friday, October 5, 10 – 12 noon. No exceptions.
End of exhibit: All work not sold must be picked up on Sunday, November 4 at the close of the exhibit from 4-5 p.m or on Monday, November 5 from 10 – 12.
There will be a $10 per day storage fee for work not picked up at this time. We are not responsible for loss or damage to work not picked up after November 5.
Please attach a label to the back of each piece of artwork prior to drop off.
